Brie Pine Tree Pastry (Print version)

Golden puff pastry encases creamy brie with sweet cranberry and crunchy pecans for a festive treat.

# What You'll Need:

→ Dairy

01 - 1 whole wheel brie cheese (8 oz)

→ Pastry

02 - 1 sheet thawed puff pastry

→ Filling

03 - 3 tablespoons cranberry sauce (whole berry or jam)
04 - 2 tablespoons toasted pecans, roughly chopped

→ Topping

05 - 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
06 - 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped (optional)
07 - 1 tablespoon honey (optional, for drizzling)

# Directions:

01 - Set oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Unroll puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut a large triangle shaped like a pine tree to fully enclose the brie, reserving scraps.
03 - Place brie in center of pastry. Spread cranberry sauce over brie and sprinkle with toasted pecans.
04 - Fold pastry over brie, forming a pine tree shape. Use reserved scraps to cut branches and decorate the pastry.
05 - Transfer wrapped brie to baking sheet and brush entire surface with beaten egg.
06 - Sprinkle chopped rosemary if desired. Bake for 20–25 minutes until pastry is golden and crisp.
07 - Allow to cool for 10 minutes. Optionally drizzle with honey before serving.
08 - Serve warm accompanied by crackers, apple slices, or fresh bread.
